Random Randomness

Things that I have spent anywhere from 10 seconds to 10 minutes thinking about today:

- I'm going to be a dad: Weird, awesome, fun, exciting, but not scared.
- My wife will give birth: Scared! Can I just wait in the lobby like fathers used to do?
- Starbucks: I am really wishing I had an Americano right now.
- Life Groups: Are they more important than our X-Ray service? How do we encourage students to learn something?
- Student Leadership programs: Ugg! So important, but are they really? Do they ever accomplish what we hope they will?
- Coffee: Why does it result in such bad breath?
- Public restrooms: Even though they all have that little chart that shows who cleaned it and how often...they are usually nasty.
- Dodgeball: So excited for our HS ministry Dodgeball day Sunday Oct. 19th!

I'm super stoked for this year. I think that as leaders we have a huge privilege to get to lead the youth, and I think this year is going to be amazing! I think that student leadership groups are absolutely necessary for a youth group to flourish and grow, and I'm going to be praying for that. - Jeff Potts

Yay!! I'm really excited for this year. It seems that we have a great team of people and great students and I can't wait to discuss the book of Ephesians this Wed!

It's exciting to be back into HS leadership after being away for 15 years! Looking forward to meeting my HS girls since my entire SLG was absent last week. It was fun, though, to get to know my co-leader. Can't wait to see what God does this year!

Official coffee entry on behalf of Phil. Seems Doreen prefers SBUX over Kinman's blend these days. Miss ya ol' buddy. Hope you are part of some of our ministry events this year. COME TO CAMP!!!!

I am so excited for Student Life Groups to start back up as well! These students are awesome!

An Americano does sound great... actually, I would rather have a Vanilla Latte right now.

You can't wait in the lobby when Shareen has the baby. It IS scary to be in the room... good luck.

I'm really excited with my SF12 Group (oops, I mean Student Life Group)this year. My girls are seniors this year, and although we've done some pretty wild and crazy things (yes, that was us who had our room decorated from everything to a woodland camp to Narnia to outer space) in the past, this year we're focusing on wild and crazy and controversial discussions. I'm attempting to teach them how to argue and discuss and disagree in the love of Christ in order to be a better witness for Him. This first week of our Ephesian study will be absolutely perfect--predestination verses free will choice! Brian, you couldn't have picked a better book of the Bible for us this year. Big thanks!--Carol Seaton

I must say, nice new layout my friend! (or did it always look like this and I never looked before?)
Dodgeball this year will be awesome and I can't wait to start rollin' with Ignite with a sweet laid back feel. I still say you should give away free coffee every night!

As a new SLG leader, I am excited and a little nervous about this new year. But I can't wait to see what God will do!

Btw, coffee makes your breath smell bad so you will buy the stores mints and gum. ;)
