Winter Camp

2 Things

1. In your LG's tonight I want to ask all leaders to get a feel for where our students are at on winter camp. We only have about three weeks before we leave and still have about 40 spots left. Please encourage your students to get signed up ASAP. Also if money is an issue for them please help them understand that it isn't all they need to do is come and talk to me . I understand that these are hard times for many of our families and we are prepared to offer more scholarships for students who need them.
   

   
    

2. As of now I am still on the hunt for 1 female leader for winter camp please let me know if you are available.

How Not To Get Caught

Attendance was down from the last few weeks, can't pin point why. A good reminder to promote Sunday services even in our LG's.

'Fun Factor':

No game, one silly video but over all pretty much worship and preaching.

Volunteer Involvement:

We were back down to a few of us. We will be sending reminder emails about SLG leaders attending one Sunday a month. Hopefully this will help.

 

Student Involvement: a+++ -

Students made up the band and also assisted with check-in and lights. There was a new spark in students a small group has been getting together to pray at 10:30 before the service, feel free to join them. Also students have stepped up to welcome and hand out bulletins.

Worship: b -

Worship was good. Ethan first time leading in HS, he did a great job leading us in worship.

I know it's like grading your own test! But this message was good and I really got to preaching! One of the big home runs was the idea giving in to temptation creates a calloused heart and after some time we fail to realize the damage Sin has done in our life because we have become calloused.

How Not To Get Caught

Attendance was up from the last few weeks I believe that students and families are finally getting home from vacations and Christmas and getting back to church.

'Fun Factor': a -

Proof that we don't have to do a game or silly videos to have fun on Sunday morning.

Volunteer Involvement: a -

Thank you to all of you who where there for the whole service. With 100 students in the room the reality of one or two of us getting to and talking with 50 students is impossible but for 10 of us to have a deeper conversation with 10 students helps them feel cared for and important.

Student Involvement: b -

Worship was fun and meaningful. Jeff did a great job leading us in worship.

The lesson was good and I believe very timely for our students. The only down fall is I felt like I had way too many points I went down to the letter G! I don't think I have ever got to point G before.
